Action in the North Atlantic by: Guy Gilpatric, First Edition Published by: E. P. Dutton & Co. in New York: 1943. Very good+ in blue-gray cloth covered boards with dark blue text on the spine and front board. The end papers are spotted with foxing as is the top edge of the text block and the spine is very slightly rolled. In a good dust jacket with the original price intact on the front flap but with a 11/4" long but narrow chip from the upper edge of the spine area with related creasing and with the lower edge of the spine area well rubbed and worn. This book was released at the same time as the movie by the same name. 189 pages of text and with photographs from the movie. TB16556  $31.50

The Canny Mr. Glencannon by: Guy Gilpatric, First Edition Published by: E. P. Dutton in New York: 1948. Very good+ in green cloth covered boards with light rubbing and wear to the head and heel of the spine with a prior owner's name and stamped address on the first free end paper. In a good dust jacket with the price intact on the front flap but with a number of chips across the upper edge of the spine area and the front panel. The title page reads: "The Canny Mr. Glencannon by Guy Gilpatric in which is set forth a true account of numerous recent and stirring events in the Exemplary Life & Charitable Works of Colin St. Andrew MacThorckle Glencannon, Esq. Chief Engineer..." TB15840  $33.60

Very good in dark blue cloth covered boards with the cloth at the ends of the spine area rubbed and worn and with the pages of the text block tanned due to the high acid level of the paper used in printing. In a very good+ unclipped dust jacket with several short closed tears at the corners of the spine area. One of the funniest novels that has ever been written. TB21853  $30.00
