An octavo measuring 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches with black ink stains across the upper edge of the front board Without a dust jacket, perhaps as issued. 115 pages of text illustrated with line drawings and 33 photographic plates. Pages 83 through 115 are devoted to early Connecticut Silversmiths listing their names, places of business, birth and death dates (if known) and any available biographical data uncovered by the author. Many of the pages within this volume remain unopened.

Near fine in burnt orange cloth covered boards with black text on the spine and gray end sheets. The lower corner of the front board is bumped and there are two small 1/4" scuff marks on the front board. Without its issued dust jacket. 285 pages containing a bibliography, four fold-out maps of the cities of New York (two) Boston and Philadelphia showing the locations of silversmiths in those cities during the 17th and 18th centuries and text. Pages 11 through 256 provide reproductions of markers marks, the related name, place of business and dates of manufacture if known of American Silversmith from 1650 to 1850.

The fourth volume in Mr. Hammerslough's collection dealing with American Silver.
